Stories are collected from multiple regional and international feeds. Recency, repeated topic signals and source diversity influence placement. A Heat Score measures momentum; it is not a judgment about importance or truth.
Original summaries
NEWSHIFT summaries are generated from headlines and available feed details. They are written in new language and are not substitutes for the publisher’s full article. Each story links to its source.
Use of AI
Automated systems help group, rank and summarize stories. Automation can make mistakes, especially during breaking news. Readers should verify consequential claims with linked reporting. We do not fabricate quotations or present AI output as eyewitness reporting.
Source diversity
We limit how many stories one publisher can dominate and offer region and genre controls. Inclusion does not imply endorsement of a publisher’s views.
Corrections
Substantive errors should be reported through our corrections page. We review credible notices and update or remove affected summaries where appropriate.
